Air-sick in Athens

Well, we finally got here to Athens, but only after we all suffered a little motion-sickness from the bouncy bus rides, stuffy airports, crowded airplanes, and rush-hour traffic jams that included a cross-town detour due to an accident. We had a colorful taxi driver who spoke five languages including very little English. We had to fend off the predatory drivers who offered to drive us at only four times the proper price.

Having arrived at our hotel we are much more relaxed and comfortable. From our balcony we have a view of the Acropolis and the ancient ruins that stand upon it. The weather is pleasant and the staff is helpful and friendly.
