Christmas Pajamas

New pajamas are a holiday tradition in our family.

 This year the pajamas were not only new, they were quite different.

Courtney gets the credit, as she was the one that begged Santa for "Froggy footy" pajamas.

We sure have enjoyed having friends and family join us for the holidays.  The pictures do not capture our the joy of our experiences, but maybe these images can be humble reminders of the fun we had together...

Swimming On July Fourth

Parade

It is not often that Broward Blvd is so empty that you can comfortably sit in the middle of the street, but that is where Courtney and Belle found themselves one Saturday morning while we waited for the Plantation Holiday Parade to begin.  We have a very mixed population in our community, so we do not only say Merry Christmas but also Happy Holidays to be more inclusive.

The New Year

We had a rousing party (not) on the eve of the New Year, with a kick-off demonstration of country line dancing from RuthAnn as she tried to teach the four left feet of Audrey and Belle.

4th of July Swimming Party

We attended an annual 4th of July pool party that is hosted by our good church friends, the Michauds. I have many so pictures and videos from that party to share that I cannot put them all up at once, so I will start with some and add more later.

Two pairs of sisters posed several times for this underwater shot before we got it framed correctly. Belle nearly drowned in the process, as you can see her gasping for air in the picture below.

The Lanberoo Audashlinger Group and its Parts

Thanks to Lyndsey and Doug for making the T-shirts for the whole family. If you read the shirt above, you can see the names of all the family members that got together for the holidays. Lanberoo Audashlinger is an acornym of sorts, using the names LANi-BURke-RUthann-AUDrey-ASHley-LYNdsey-GURr.

Thanks to Karl Mueller (a friend from church) for taking our family pictures! He has a great camera, a great eye, and great charity with his time. For some of us, the camera is not flattering (see any picture of Steve above). For some, the camera brings out the beauty that is hidden in everyday life (see the picture of Burke above).
