On a visit to my parent's home in Iowa I was tickled to see and remember the three portraits of Ella's daughters Scotty, Julie, and Pat. These pictures have been hanging in the hallway since my earliest years of life. Seeing them brought back of flood of associations from my childhood and reminded me of how much I like my three step-sisters, although I only lived with the youngest of them (Scotty).
