Arriving in Budapest this morning after a short train ride in a sweaty sleeper car, we found our hotel and were out walking by 10am. We walked and walked, and then took a guided foot tour of the city so that we could walk some more. Now, eight hours later, I have lanced my blisters and we are heading out to a restaurant.
We will be leaving for the train station to Saltzburg at 4am, then walking all over Saltzburg tomorrow, where we will spend the night before going on to Venice the day after.
Budapest is like heaven compared to Bucharest. The city is clean, the people are friendly, the traffic is orderly, the food is delicious, the architecture is absolutley beautiful, and many people speak enough English to assist us in spending our money. We are having so much fun!
I still am unable to post any pictures, but have taken about 350 so far. More tomorrow, or whenever we can post again. We are having such a great time.
