Our church hosted a Family Discovery Day on Saturday. We invited our local church members and the surrounding community and expected to get 100, hoped to get 150, and actually got 170+ guests to attend our activity.
The purpose of a Family Discovery Day is to educate people about the purposes and methods of doing genealogical research. It was a very inspirational and informative day. I have a new-found respect for genealogy work and those that do it.
