The Rules to "cheese-car"

Everyone knows the game "slug-bug," but do you know how to play cheese-car?

1. The first person to call out "cheese-car" after seeing a yellow car gets a point. (+1)

2. If the yellow car in question has a black top, then any opponent can call out "black-top" which gets that person two points (+2) and the person that called the cheese-car to lose the point that they had gotten (-1).

3. If the yellow car is a VW Beetle, then the first person to call out "cheese-buggy" gets two points (+2).  [The extra value is given out of respect for the slug-bug game.]

4. If the "cheese-buggy" is called out as a "black-top" then the opponent gets four points (+4) and the player that called the cheese-buggy loses the two points they got for calling it.

5. A "black-top" may not be called out on a car unless it has already been called out at a "cheese-car."

6. You cannot call "black-top" on your own "cheese-car." 

7. Cheese-car is only played when riding inside a car.

8. A running total of points is kept, but the scoring session ends when the car ride substantially ends (stops long enough to turn off the motor, open a door, etc).  One trip can have multiple scoring sessions.

9. The particulars of: a) what constitutes a real "black-top," b) what is a substantial end to a drive, c) was that cheese-car already called earlier, d) who called "cheese-car" first, e) etc, are decided by open and vigorous debate between players. 

10. Any cheese-car debate is arbitrated, as all great debates, by your mother, regardless of whether she is in the car or not.  Her decision shall reign supreme and supersede all other decisions and be legally binding, enforced by penalties that shall be levied at Thanksgiving gatherings and Christmas time.
