What is BIG? Distant-sky jetliner; pedestrian-eclipsing danger-mobiles; lampposts; nature trees; monolithic monumental spire; all made small by fuzzy cotton cloud-blanket. And yet, a pebble in my shoe just will not be ignored.
Tickets are free for the Washington Monument, but they are mandatory and limited in quantity. By the time we arrived the daily allocation was spent. We enjoyed the exterior view, and several of the many Smithsonian Museums.
