Walker and Jenn's car was stolen shortly after they moved to a new neighborhood. That was a couple of months ago. When Audrey and I visited them to see the baby, (about one month after the car was stolen) I got a call from the local police in New Haven who said that they had found the car. What are the chances that they would recover it at all, let alone during the three days that I would be in town? The car was in pretty bad shape when we picked it up. But then, that almost perfectly matched the condition that it was in prior to the theft. That observation leads me to another question. What is wrong with the thieves in New Haven? Why would they steal such an old, ugly, nearly dead car?

Poor eyesight, that's what the thieves in New Haven are blessed with. But how good that the kids got their car back, that is, if they wanted it.
Your cousin Les Ackler had his little Toyota pickup truck stolen in Washington and when it was found two days later all that remained was the cab, truck bed and undercarriage.
