Thursday afternoon is a great time to be at the beach here in Florida. The water was refreshingly cool but not cold. The water was clear and the sand was soft. Audrey, Courtney, Belle, and I enjoyed swimming in the ocean and sliding our "skip-disc" across the waves.Friends had informed us of an out-of-the-way and little-known pay-to-park area that provided excellent access to the shore without the competition for space that you normally have at the public beaches. Consequently, few others joined us on our little piece of the sandy coastline.
It was a very fun time to be where we were.

Sounds very nice and am glad that the sharks have not learned of this beach. Hope everyone was using sun blocker and that the fun of the day was not paid for with pain in the night.
Hope you all got thoroughly relaxed and refreshed.
love,
Dad
The girls have become quite conscientious about applying the SPF (sun protection formula)15 or higher to each other's shoulders and backs. I, instead, choose to wear a water-shirt. And a hat. And sunglasses. I often contemplate wearing long pants and socks. My fair skin is far more suited to an arctic winter than to Florida sunshine so I keep myself well-shaded.
As for refreshed and relaxed, I can say that we absolutely found ourselves both rejunvenated and comfortably relaxed.
At times like that it is hard to imagine others suffering bad weather like the rain and flooding in Iowa and elsewhere in the midwest.
