Re: Just another week

Hello Family,

Wow! It sounds like you all, especially Courtney had quite a week. Tell her I know what it feels like to come home tired, sick, burnt to a crisp, and thoroughly satisfied after a fun summer camp experience. I love hearing all the stories from you guys! Oh yeah, and Happy Birthday to Courtney again. "May you grow big!" As they say here in Romania.

This past week has been a really fun experience for us! We have had many lessons with members helping us out with our investigators. We have had the neat experience of watching films with many of our investigators, about Christ and the Restoration. And we have also been blessed to have our main investigator, Iris, commit to being baptised in April. She has some work issues that may prevent her from getting baptised on the 2nd, which is her goal, but she is very commited to doing what is right. She has decided this past week to no longer drink coffee, and is very excited to live the gospel.

Today, we had the neat opportunity to go to the Casa Poporului (The House of the People) which is the second largest building in the world (after the Pentagon), constructed by the dictator Ceasescu in the Communist era. It was a fun experience, though the actual tour was pretty weak sauce. We would have had to wait an extra 45 minutes for a Romanian tour, so we were forced to take the English tour with a tour guide who was just not comprehensible. I don't know how she got the job, but I seriously could not understand most of what she said. Mainly, the tour consisted of many large rooms with huge crystal chandaliers and big carpets, and lots and lots and lots of marble.

As for Jenn; it sounds like she is doing well, though having a tough time over there in Sweden. I was surprised to hear in her last letter that their transfers are 9 weeks, as opposed to our 6 week long transfers. Whatever the case, she is working hard and doing good in focusing on the miracles and wonders that the Lord is placing in her life.

I have to go.
Love you,
Walker
